INDUSTRIA – THE ITALIAN INDUSTRIAL DESIGN IN NICCOLÒ BIDDAU’S PHOTOGRAPHS

Industria is a series of black-and-white photographs made by photo grapher Niccolò Biddau over the course of several years working with many of the most prestigious Italian manufacturers (Alessi, Pirelli, FIAT, Italcementi, Campari, Missoni, Telecom Italia, ecc.), guardians of the legendary design made in Italy.

30 big-sized prints of photographs from Niccolò Biddau’s Industriaare now on view at Triennale di Milano, along the video projection of another 200 (more info here). The most interesting images in this work are those for which Biddau creatively framed materials, machines and finished products to transform them in forms sculpted by his precise black and white; images that find strength and beauty where one wouldn’t even look for it.
