Ben Krewinkel (founder, Africa in the Photobook), Daniel Boetker-Smith  (founder, Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive) and Ángel Luis González (founder, PhotoIreland Foundation and the Mobile Library project) will each present four photobooks, two historical and two contemporary examples from regions of their focus. The audience will be able to engage with the physical copies of the books, while guests will also introduce the goals of their projects and the ways they research, collect, distribute and showcase publications.

Daniel Boetker-Smith & Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive
Curator, a Course Director at Photography Studies College, Melbourne, and a regular contributor to the British Journal of Photography, Voices of Photography, Vault, Photoeye, and other Australian and international publications. Daniel is on the Curatorial Advisory Board for the Perth Centre for Photography, a judge for the CLIP Photo Awards, and a nominator for the Prix Pictet Prize, World Press Photo, the Mack First Book Award among others. He is the director of The Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive - a not-for-profit library of self-published and independent photobooks, a public space that houses over 2000 books donated by photographers, publishers, galleries and collectors. The Archive regularly takes books to festivals and events all over the world.

Ben Krewinkel & Africa in the Photobook
A documentary photographer, historian, curator and book designer. Ben taught at the School of Journalism in Utrecht and at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Currently he is working on a new photobook and the compendium Africa in the Photobook - a project that started with a website in 2015 with the focus on photobooks made by African artists, books printed in African countries, and made outside the continent by non-African photographers as well.

Ángel Luis González & The Library Project
Founder and CEO of PhotoIreland Foundation, dedicated to stimulating a critical dialogue around Photography in Ireland and to internationally promoting the work of Irish-based artists. He is involved in international projects such as Photobook Week Aarhus. The Library Project hosts over 2500 photobooks from hundreds of publishers worldwide. It ensures Irish audiences have access to materials otherwise never seen on the island, supporting the role of public and university libraries with a specialised resource library. The growing collection travels to international festivals showcasing exemplar photobooks.
